From what time free terms are available?
Booking of Entry Passes is possible everyday from 12.00 noon.
Is entry to the Memorial free?
Yes, entry to the Auschwitz Memorial is free. A fee is charged, however, for visits with a Museum educator - a person who is authorised and prepared to guide on the site.
Why have entry passes been introduced?
For reasons of safety and ease of access, a maximum number of people who can enter the site of the former Auschwitz I camp per hour has been set. That is why, during the reservation process, every visitor now receives an individual entry pass. This is the only document which authorises entry into the Museum. The pass is given both to individual visitors and those who visit the Memorial with an educator.
Can I enter the Museum without holding a reserved entry pass?
Yes; a person who arrives without a booked reservation will be able to enter the Museum. The entry pass will be issued at the visitors’ centre. Entry will only be possible, however, in the first available hour. . During busy periods, this may result in a long waiting time.
Should I have my entry pass with me?
Yes. Every entry pass has an individual code. The pass can be printed or saved, for example, on a tablet or a phone.
I paid for the reservation but I have not received the Entry Passes, what should I do?
Entry Passes are sent automatically by the system. If you have not found such an email in your mailbox, please check your spam. If the Entry Passes are not in your spam either, please contact us by email email@example.com.
How can I reserve entry without an educator?
You should choose the following options in the system: Visit for individuals → Choose a date → Tour for individuals without an educator.
How can I reserve a visit for an organised group?
You should choose the following options in the system: Visit for groups → Choose a date → Choose language → Choose the hour → Basket
You should also follow this process if you want to reserve a visit with an educator for an individual visitor
Is there a tour with an educator organiszed for individual visitors?
Yes. Such visits are organised all year long in several languages and at set hours. You can reserve such visits in the system. You should choose the following options: Visit for individuals → Choose a date → Choose language → Choose the hour → Basket.
What should I do if I want to reserve an extended visit?
In the system you will find the ‘Non-standard reservation’ tab, where you can find other visiting options, such as; one- or two-day study visits. If you are not able to find the desired option, please contact the visitors’ centre.
Can I change my reservation?
The system allows a single change of one part of reservation (day, hour or language). You can make a change within available dates. In order to make a change you should contact the visitor’s centre (firstname.lastname@example.org). The reservation can be changed only by those who booked Entry Passes for organized groups.
Is the chosen hour of the visit the hour of entry into the Museum?
Yes. Please remember that before entering the Museum you should allow time for leaving any large luggage in the storage area, pick up your tour headset and go through a quick security check. We advise to arrive at the Museum at least 15 minutes before your designated entry time.
What happens if I am late for my reserved hour?
An individual visitor will be able to enter the Museum in the first available timeslot in between the hours for individual visitors without an educator. Please note that from April 1 to October 31, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., entry is permitted only with a Museum educator.
Visitors who have made a reservation as part of a group with an educator will have to reserve another entry time. These groups must start the visit at the set time.
Organised groups of individual visitors who have made a reservation for a visit with an educator will be able to enter in the first available hour. This may, however, result in a shorter visiting time no possibility of entering.
Will I receive a refund if I am late for a reserved visit with an educator and cannot enter the Museum?
As the number of entry passes is limited, we advise making an early reservation. At the moment there is no possibility of returning payment; therefore we ask all visitors to make an informed and thoughtful reservation.
